ATV, UTV and snowmobile shipping

ATVs, side-by-sides and snowmobiles ship on flatbeds, in enclosed trailers or on their own trailer. Because sizes vary so much, carriers ask for the quantity plus each machine's length, width, height and weight, measured with racks, plows and winches fitted.

Before pickup

  1. 1

Measure with racks, plows, winches and roofs installed, or remove them and list them separately.

  2. 2

Close the fuel valve if there is one, and check for oil and coolant leaks.

  3. 3

Remove loose bags, coolers and anything that could fall off at speed.

  4. 4

Show the driver how to put it in neutral and release the parking brake.

  5. 5

Photograph each machine from all sides before pickup.

ATVs and powersports questions

Can you ship side-by-sides and UTVs?

Yes. They're wider and heavier than most ATVs, so give exact dimensions and weight; some only fit on a flatbed or a wide trailer.

Can several machines go together?

Yes. Set the quantity and, if sizes differ, list each machine in the details.

What if it doesn't run?

Say so in the details, and whether it rolls and steers. Carriers will bring a winch or ramps that suit it.

Can snowmobiles ship without a trailer?

Yes. Carriers load them on flatbeds or in enclosed trailers; mention whether skis or tracks need protection.
