Jet ski and personal watercraft shipping

Personal watercraft are light enough to ship one or two at a time, on their own trailer or loaded onto a carrier's flatbed or enclosed trailer. Carriers need the make, how many you have, each unit's dimensions and weight and whether they're on a trailer.

Where is it going?

What carriers need from you

These are the fields in the personal watercraft form. Complete answers let carriers bid on the real job instead of padding for unknowns.

Every post also includes

  • Pickup and delivery addresses with date and time windows
  • Extra stops along the route, if any
  • Up to 5 photos and 5 files, such as spec sheets or floor plans
  • Anything else carriers should know, in your own words

The watercraft

  • Make
  • Number of units

Dimensions

  • Weight in pounds
  • Length, width and height in inches or feet

Trailer

  • On its own trailer or not, and whether it's a single or double trailer

Before pickup

  1. 1

Flush and drain the cooling system, especially after salt water, and run the fuel low.

  2. 2

Keep the lanyard key with your paperwork and hand it to the driver at pickup.

  3. 3

Secure seats and hatches; take out ropes, fenders and life jackets.

  4. 4

If it ships on your trailer, check the tires, lights, winch strap and bunks.

  5. 5

Photograph the hull and note scratches before pickup.

Personal watercraft questions

Can I ship two jet skis together?

Yes. Set the quantity to two and say whether they're on a double trailer.

Do I need my own trailer?

No. Turn off "on trailer" and carriers will load the craft onto their own equipment.

Can it ship in an enclosed trailer?

Ask in the details. Enclosed space protects the hull and seats from weather and road debris and is usually priced higher.

When is the carrier paid?

You pay the accepted bid plus the 10% AllShip service fee, and Stripe holds it in escrow. The carrier is paid after you confirm delivery, or automatically 72 hours after delivery if you have not opened a dispute.
