Military moving questions
Is this the same as a government-arranged move?
No. AllShip is a marketplace where you hire a carrier directly. It suits personally procured moves, items outside your entitlement and retirement moves. For a government-arranged move, work with your transportation office.
Can carriers provide weight tickets for a PPM?
Turn on paperwork assistance and say which documents you need. Ask in chat whether the carrier can provide certified weight tickets and itemized receipts before you accept a bid.
Can firearms be moved?
Only with proper documentation and only with a carrier that agrees to it. Mark firearms in the form and confirm in chat before accepting a bid.
When is the carrier paid?
You pay the accepted bid plus the 10% AllShip service fee, and Stripe holds it in escrow. The carrier is paid after you confirm delivery, or automatically 72 hours after delivery if you have not opened a dispute.
