Truck with driver

A truck and driver for a few hours

A truck and driver for a few hours covers the jobs between a delivery and a full move: a couch from a marketplace seller, a store pickup, a studio apartment, a load to the donation center. Say how long you think it will take, what size truck and whether you need a helper.

Where is it going?

What carriers need from you

These are the fields in the truck with driver form. Complete answers let carriers bid on the real job instead of padding for unknowns.

Every post also includes

  • Pickup and delivery addresses with date and time windows
  • Extra stops along the route, if any
  • Up to 5 photos and 5 files, such as spec sheets or floor plans
  • Anything else carriers should know, in your own words

Time and truck

  • Hours you expect the job to take
  • Truck size: cargo van, pickup or box truck
  • Hourly or flat price preference

Help

  • Driver only, or driver plus one or more helpers
  • Stairs or elevators at each stop

Route and items

  • Every pickup and drop-off in order
  • A short list of large items, with photos if you have them

Before pickup

  1. 1

List every stop in order so the driver can plan the route and time.

  2. 2

Have items ready to load near the door and paid for at any store or seller.

  3. 3

Measure large items and the doors they need to go through.

  4. 4

Add a helper if anything takes two people to carry.

Posting takes a few minutes

Post your truck with driver once

Pick truck with driver, add the details above and the route. The load goes live after you confirm your email. Demo data is illustrative.

  3. Enter the route: Dallas, TX to Denver, CO
  4. Review and post. Carriers can bid right away

How booking and payment work

  1. Today, about 3 minutes

    You post the load

Route, dates and what is moving. Free, and you can edit it until you book.

  2. Usually within hours

    Verified carriers bid

Each bid shows the carrier's price, dates, FMCSA status and reviews. Ask questions in chat first.

  3. When you choose

    Accept and pay into escrow

You pay the bid plus the 10% service fee. Stripe holds it; the carrier is not paid yet.

  4. On the day

    Follow the trip

The driver starts the trip, confirms pickup with photos and shares a live location.

  5. After delivery

Confirm, then the carrier is paid

Delivery comes with photos and a signature. Confirm it, or it auto-confirms after 72 hours with no dispute.

What you pay, line by line

No subscription, no posting fee, no deposit to see bids. The price is the bid you accept plus our fee, and the carrier keeps 100% of the bid.

Truck with driver questions

Hourly or flat price: which is better?

Hourly suits jobs where the time is hard to predict. A flat price suits clearly defined jobs. Either way, the amount you pay into escrow is the accepted bid plus the 10% AllShip service fee.

Does the driver help load?

Say whether you need help. Many drivers will help with loading; for heavy or many items, add a helper so the bid includes a second person.

What if the job runs over the hours I posted?

Agree in the AllShip chat before the extra time starts, so there are no surprises when you confirm delivery.

When is the driver paid?

You pay the accepted bid plus the 10% AllShip service fee, and Stripe holds it in escrow. The carrier is paid after you confirm delivery, or automatically 72 hours after delivery if you have not opened a dispute.
